Challenge:

Our client had made a considerable investment in new information technology to improve communication between the UK and Azerbaijan.Implementation was made more complex by the involvement of 3rd party companies located remotely and staff located off-site. The uptake of this new technology had been slow and whilst the teams were keen to use the technology, they felt inhibited through lack of familiarity. The following objectives had to be achieved, whilst maintaining focus on business performance and making it fun and easy.

  • To impact business performance by challenging people to think about their work in new ways
  • To ensure that productivity and collaboration capabilities were integrated in the best possible way
  • To encourage people to consider how they communicate, with whom they collaborate, and what tools could increase the effectiveness of their interactions
     

Solution:

An engagement plan and coaching/training programme was implemented using both comprehensive training materials and valuable technical support. Processes developed to link key services benefitted users greatly.

Results:

The model adopted was held as an exemplar and replicated across other departments. Feedback from the client demonstrated the following cost savings.

Coaching cost: 30K.  Savings 440K in first year
